International Summer School on Metaheuristics

International Summer School on Metaheuristics

March 3-7, 2003

Parc Club Europe Hotel, Playa de las Américas
Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain)

The International Summer School on Metaheuristics is aimed at Ph.D. students interested in the growing field of modern optimization techniques. Internationally renowned experts will give introductory tutorials on the basics of metaheuristics and plenary talks on the very latest in approximation methods. The participants will have plenty of opportunities for discussion, debate and work.

Location:

Tenerife is one of the Canary Islands on the west coast of Africa. Surrounded by the sea, it never gets really hot or cold. With an average day temperature of 23 C and about 8 hours of sunshine a day in March, it is an optimal place for a summer school in a relaxing atmosphere. The summer school fee is 150 Euro. The hotel and flights can be booked at:

EUROPE Hotelbuchungs und Reiseservice, Mrs Christine Schmitz, Planegger Strasse 23a-c, 82166 Gröfelfing, Germany, tel. +49- 89-896095-12, Fax +49-89-896095-22.

For rates refer to EUROPE Hotelbuchungs und Reiseservice.

Since a larger number of participant registered to the summerschool the presentations will be held in Hotel Europe Villa Cortes, which is just next to the Park Club Europe hotel across the street. The exact room is still to be fixed.
